  • 200 Clock Tower Place
    Suite B206
    Carmel, CA 93923

You'll find me in the Clock Tower building, directly across from The Barnyard shopping center. You can take the stairs or elevator up to the second floor.

  • Yes! I offer both in-person and online sessions. If you're in the Monterey area and prefer meeting face-to-face, we can meet in my Carmel office.

I let you choose what works best for your life and comfort level. You can even switch between formats if your needs change (maybe in-person most weeks, but virtual when you're traveling or under the weather). Both are equally effective, it's really about what helps you feel most comfortable opening up.

  • You have 2 parking lots to choose from. One directly across the street from the clock tower building. The second is underneath 200 Clock Tower, accessible from Via Nona Marie. Park near elevator B.

  • Online therapy is just like meeting in person, except we connect through a secure video platform from the comfort of your own space. You'll need a private spot where you can talk freely, a decent internet connection, and a device with a camera (laptop, tablet, or phone all work fine).

Before our session, I'll send you a link. Just click it at our appointment time and we're connected. The platform is HIPAA-compliant, which means your privacy is protected just like it would be in my office.

Some clients worry online therapy won't feel as personal or effective, most people are surprised by how natural it feels after the first few minutes. You can still see my expressions, I can still read your body language, and the work we do together is just as meaningful. Plus, you get to be in your own comfortable space, maybe with your pet nearby or your favorite blanket.

The only real difference? No commute, no parking hassles, and you can have your session from anywhere in California.

  • I charge $200 for a 60 minute session.

I know therapy is an investment, both financially and emotionally. While I don't take insurance directly, I can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I'm happy to explain how this works during our consultation if you're interested.

  • Our first session is really about getting to know each other. You'll share what brought you to therapy — as much or as little as feels comfortable — and I'll ask questions to better understand your situation and what you're hoping to change.

There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to share your whole life story. Some people come in with a specific issue to discuss, others just know something feels off. Both are perfectly fine starting points.

I'll also share a bit about how I work and answer any questions you have about the process. We'll talk about what therapy might look like for us moving forward.

The main goal? For you to leave feeling heard and hopeful about the work ahead. And yes, it's normal to feel nervous, a lot of people do. I'll help make it as comfortable as possible.

  • It really varies from person to person. Some of my clients work with me for a few months and get what they need. Others I've been seeing for years, either consistently or on and off as life throws new challenges their way.

It totally depends on you and your goals. Maybe you're here to work through a specific situation and once you have the tools you need, you're good to go. Or maybe you're untangling patterns that have been with you for decades, and that naturally takes more time.

Some people find therapy so valuable they choose to continue long-term as a form of ongoing support and self-care. Others prefer to come back as needed, ike when a new relationship brings up old patterns or a life transition stirs things up.

We'll check in regularly about how therapy is serving you. You're never "stuck" in therapy, and there's no pressure to stay longer than feels useful. The timeline is completely up to you and what you need.

  • A Good Faith Estimate is a document that shows how much your therapy might cost over time. It's required by law (the No Surprises Act) for clients who are paying out-of-pocket or not using insurance.

Before we start working together, I'll provide you with an estimate that includes:

    • My session fee ($200)

    • How often we plan to meet (usually weekly or biweekly)

    • How long we might work together (though this is just an estimate, we already talked about how therapy timelines vary!)

The estimate helps you plan financially and avoid surprise bills. It's not a contract or a bill. It's just my best guess based on what we discuss. If anything changes (like if we decide to meet more or less frequently), I'll update the estimate.

You'll get this after our consultation once we've decided to work together. If you have questions about it when you receive it, just ask! I'm happy to go through it with you.
